A Song You Wish You Could Play

Andy McKee is a guitar player I discovered after reading his name listed among some of the other guitar gods that I like: Kaki King, Andrew York, Michael Hedges, Leo Kottke.  I stole his first record off the internet a few years ago, and have bought the rest of them since.  (See, stealing does lead to new fans and new sales.)

I play guitar pretty well–at least by that I mean that I can play some fairly complicated things.  Rather, the truth is, I suppose, that I can play some things that sound very complicated but are really only fairly complicated.  One thing I’d really like to do is increase my accuracy, and maybe learn how to play overhand better.  It’s a hard thing to do when you’ve been playing one way for fifteen years.

Here is a new song from Mr. McKee called “Hunter’s Moon.”

Oh, and: Woof.
